About this tool
What is this tool for?
It shows the daily screen time that the official body of the country you choose recommends for your child's age. For under-5s the World Health Organization advice appears alongside. Below is that country's full age table.
How do I use it?
Choose your country and your child's age. If you like, enter how many minutes a day your child spends on screens; the tool compares it with the advice.
How do I read the result?
Some countries give minutes, some only say 'not recommended' or 'should be the exception', and some give no number at all. The tool shows exactly what the source says; if there's no number it doesn't borrow another country's.
Limits of this tool
Advice differs between countries and only covers time; content quality, watching together and bedtime matter too. It doesn't diagnose. Nothing is saved.
